PhD Researcher at the Delft University of Technology
Marko Kapetanović is a PhD researcher at the Transport and Planning Department at the Delft University of Technology. His research focuses on the improvement of environmental sustainability of railways through implementation of emerging technologies and effective policy measures. Marko holds a Master of Science in Railway Transport and Traffic Engineering from the University of Belgrade. Before joining TU Delft in 2018, he worked as a teaching and research assistant at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering of the University of Belgrade, and as a short-term consultant at the World Bank.

Project between Arriva Nederland and Delft University of Technology aims to identify best alternatives for reduction of well-to-wheel emissions on the Dutch Northern lines, by incorporating novel hybrid propulsion systems, low-emission fuels, and effective operational and policy measures.
