Wim Knopperts

Wim Knopperts, Program Director ERTMS since October 2017, responsible for the coordination of the country wide roll-out of ERTMS in the Netherlands (ProRail). Wim has fourty years of experience in the railway sector in various roles. He started his career at the NS, at that time the main Dutch railway company. After several years he started working for ProRail, the manager of the main railway network in the Netherlands. At ProRail he fullfilled many roles, functioning as; Projectdirector for the Highspeed line Amsterdam-Belgian border, Director Projectmanagement (2010-2013) and Director Assetmanagement (2013-2016) and as acting COO (2014-2016).
